How the auto-pair works
After you sign in, the dashboard hands you a single command with your personal setup code already filled in. Run it once and the app installs, the workspace key is written, and the browser extension's pairing policy is dropped into place. As soon as you click Add to Chrome, the extension reads the policy and connects itself.
The setup code is bound to your account on the server side, so when an admin invites a new teammate, that teammate gets their own code the moment they sign in. No admin handoff. No shared key.
What we will not do to your network
No proxy. Northbeams watches AI activity from the device. Your firewall and allowlist do not change.
No MITM cert. Northbeams never sits between your team and the AI service they use.
No prompt vault. A local classifier flags credentials and PII. The text never lands in our database.
